Wellness

A healthy balance of mind body and spirit is one definition of wellness. Wellness has been very popular over the past century and is becoming almost as popular as swimming pools, wellness can be used to describe Sauna, Steam Rooms, Hot Tubs and Spas.

Saunas uses heat to warm your body temperature, increasing your body temperature by only a few degrees opens up your arteries and allows for much greater blood circulation as the body attempts to maintain its core temperature. This helps to dislodge toxins, especially from hard-to-reach areas. As the body tries to cool itself creates perspiration, which contains calories. As you replace these lost fluids with water you are not putting any calories back so it's a great way to lose weight. Saunas are available with two heating sources Stoves that use a heating element or infrared panels that are in the walls and transmit the heat into the room.

Steam Rooms work in a very similar way to Saunas but instead of a stove or infrared panels heat for heat you are using steam. The steam is generated in a specialist steam generated and this is then force fed into the steam room. The steam room offers a very similar experience to the sauna but the main difference is the fact that it is a moist heat. The temperature is approx. half that of a sauna at approx. 40*C Steam rooms are good for people with breathing difficulties as it is a moist heat not a dry heat.
